Who we are

Odyssey Scaffolding provides domestic and commercial scaffolding across Greater London, Surrey and the surrounding areas. When you contact us or use the enquiry form on this website, we are the "data controller" for the personal information you give us.

You can reach us at:

  • Phone: 07351 009255
  • Email: info@odysseyscaffolding.co.uk
  • WhatsApp: 07351 009255

What information we collect

When you use the enquiry form

The enquiry form on this website asks for:

  • Your name
  • Your phone number
  • Your email address (optional)
  • The type of enquiry (domestic, commercial, or other)
  • Any details you choose to give us about the job

How the form works. When you press "Send enquiry", the details are sent to Formspree, a form-handling service we use to receive website enquiries. Formspree passes your message on to us by email and keeps a copy in our account there so we do not lose it.

This website has no database of its own — Formspree and our email account are the only places your enquiry is stored.

When you contact us directly

If you call, email or message us on WhatsApp, we will have whatever information you give us — typically your name, contact details and information about the property and the work you need.

Information collected automatically

This website is hosted by Netlify. Like most web hosts, Netlify keeps server logs that may include your IP address, browser type and the pages you visited. These logs are generated by the hosting platform for security and reliability, not by us, and we do not use them to identify individual visitors.

How we use it, and our lawful basis

What we doWhyLawful basis (UK GDPR)
Reply to your enquiry and prepare a quotation You asked us to Taking steps at your request before entering a contract
Arrange and carry out scaffolding work To deliver the job you booked Performance of a contract
Keep records of jobs, quotes and correspondence To run the business, resolve queries and meet safety and tax obligations Legitimate interests, and legal obligation where records must be kept

We do not use your details for marketing unless you have asked us to, and we do not sell or rent personal information to anyone.

Cookies and analytics

This website does not set any cookies. It uses no analytics, no advertising pixels and no visitor tracking of any kind. Nothing is stored in your browser by this site, which is why you are not asked to accept cookies when you arrive.

Third parties and where data goes

A small number of third parties are involved in running this website:

  • Formspree — receives enquiries submitted through the form on this website and forwards them to us by email. Formspree is based in the United States and acts as a processor on our behalf.
  • Netlify — hosts the website and keeps the server logs described above. Netlify is based in the United States.
  • Google Fonts — the typefaces used on this site are loaded from Google's servers. Your browser requests them directly from Google, which means your IP address is visible to Google when a page loads.
  • WhatsApp (Meta) — only if you choose to use a WhatsApp link. Your message and phone number are then handled by WhatsApp under Meta's own privacy terms.
  • Our email provider — enquiries are forwarded to us by email, so a copy sits in our email account in the normal way.

Where a provider is outside the UK, transfers are covered by the safeguards those providers put in place, such as the UK extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep information

We keep the information you send us for as long as your enquiry is open — that is, while we are answering your questions, preparing a quotation or arranging the work. Once the enquiry is closed, we delete it, including the copy held in our Formspree account.

If you would like us to delete your details sooner, just ask and we will.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to:

  • Ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you
  • Ask us to correct anything that is wrong
  • Ask us to delete information, where there is no good reason for us to keep it
  • Ask us to restrict how we use it, or object to us using it
  • Ask us to transfer it to someone else, where that applies

To exercise any of these, email info@odysseyscaffolding.co.uk or call 07351 009255. There is normally no charge, and we will respond within one month.

How to complain

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please contact us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office, the UK regulator for data protection:

  • Website: ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint
  • Helpline: 0303 123 1113

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle personal information, we will update this page and change the "last updated" date at the top. This policy applies to this website only; if we link to another website, we are not responsible for how that site handles your data.
